Otolo assured fans and stakeholders that the squad is in good shape and fully prepared for the forthcoming match against Ankole Province.
He officially confirmed that the match will be played at Apac Boma Ground, a venue expected to be filled with passionate supporters from across the region. Otolo used the opportunity to rally support from leaders and the wider community, calling upon politicians, business men and women, and loyal Lango Province fans to stand firmly behind the team.
“Our biggest challenge at the moment is financial,” Otolo revealed. “We therefore appeal to all well-wishers to come on board and support the team so that preparations and logistics are handled smoothly.”
Adding to the optimism, Lango Province Team Manager Ivan Opeto stated that the team is not only ready for the match but also determined to finish at the top of the table. Although Lango Province has already secured qualification to the quarterfinal stage, Opeto emphasized that the team is hungry for more.
“We want to top the table,” Opeto said. “That is why we have summoned some of our best players. Big names like Okello Allan, Denis Omedi, Rogers Mato, among other key players, are available and ready to deliver.”
He further noted that the squad’s depth and experience put them in a strong position as they aim to defend their championship title, a feat that would further cement Lango Province’s dominance in the competition.
Meanwhile, Innocent Labongo, the Chairperson of the Fans, echoed the call for unity and support. He urged fans from all corners of Lango to turn up in large numbers and cheer the team on.
“This team belongs to all of us,” Labongo said. “When the fans show up in big numbers, it motivates the players and gives them extra energy on the pitch.”
