FUFA Big League side Nebbi Central Football Club have appointed experienced tactician Hassan Nassur as their new head coach on a one-year working contract, club sources have confirmed.
The appointment, which is awaiting official unveiling by club media, sees Nassur replace Godfrey Akena, who tendered his resignation a few months ago.
Popularly known as Taata Nabil, Hassan Nassur joins Nebbi Central after parting ways with Paidha Black Angels SC a few years ago, where he enjoyed a successful spell. The West Nile Regional League 2023/24 title-winning coach resigned from Paidha Black Angels following disagreements, citing the club’s failure to fully value his credentials and capacity to compete at FUFA Big League level.

Nassur is widely regarded as a proven performer in West Nile football. He joined the Zombo-based Paidha Black Angels in 2023 and, in his first season at the helm, guided the iconic club to imminent promotion to the FUFA Big League, underlining his tactical acumen and leadership.
Nebbi Central FC will be hoping Nassur’s experience and winning mentality can steer the club toward a strong campaign as they set their sights on progress in the FUFA Big League.
